There’s something about a winter wedding in Florida that just hits different—crisp air, golden light, and the perfect mix of southern charm and heartfelt emotion. Katelyn and Jared’s February wedding at Diamond C Ranch in Myakka City was exactly that. It was rustic, romantic, and deeply personal, and I’m still not over how beautifully the day unfolded.
From the moment I arrived at the ranch, I knew it was going to be a special one. The dusty blue color palette woven throughout the decor created such an elegant contrast to the natural wood and open skies of the venue. Touches of greenery softened every space—from the bouquets to the ceremony arch—and added a grounded, earthy feel that fit Katelyn and Jared to a T.
The guys ditched the traditional black tuxes and instead embraced their country roots with beige vests and denim jeans, and let me tell you, it worked. It brought such a laid-back, authentic vibe to the day that truly reflected the heart of this couple.
One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the branding ceremony—a nod to their roots and unity. Watching them create something lasting together, literally branding their family mark into a hide rug, was so symbolic and powerful. But what really made everyone pause was the Warming of the Rings, a beautiful Irish tradition where the wedding bands are passed through the hands of loved ones during the ceremony. As family silently offered their blessings and love, while the chorus of “The Blessing” played, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight—including mine, behind the lens.
You could feel the weight of that moment—the peace, the joy, the overwhelming sense of unity and hope. It was one of those rare, sacred pockets of time that stays with you.
As the sun dipped low and cast a golden hue over the ranch, the celebration kicked into high gear with laughter, dancing, and lots of love and concluded with a sparkler exit. Every corner of that day was filled with intentionality and joy—from the details to the people, and most of all, the way these two looked at each other.
Katelyn and Jared, thank you for inviting me into your day. Your love story is one for the books, and it was an honor to capture the first chapter of your forever.
